If you’re encountering issues running CAKES on macOS (Monterrey 12.0, Big Sur 11.0 or Catalina 10.15)...

Monterrey 12.0:

1. Locate the game in Finder. Don’t use Launchpad to locate the app!
2. Control-click the game’s icon, then choose Open from the shortcut menu.
3. Click Open. This saves the game as an exception to your security settings, which means you can open it at any time by double-clicking it. 

Big Sur 11.0 or Catalina 10.15:

1. Double-click the game’s icon like you normally would. You will get a warning prompt.
2. After receiving the prompt, go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General 
3. Click Open Anyway. 
4. You may receive a second warning prompt asking you to confirm your choice. Click Open. This saves the game as an exception to your security settings, which means you can open it at any time by double clicking it. 

Note: The Open Anyway button is available for roughly an hour after you try to open the blocked game.
